FAQS
Does the health center accept prescription medications from individuals?
We cannot accept used/open medication from individuals. There are laws that prohibit this exchange. We can, however, take medicines-prescription (non-controlled) and over the counter (OTC) medication (Tylenol, Benadryl, etc) as long as it is sealed in its original packaging.
Do you accept large items such as hospital beds and lift chairs?
No we do not accept them; we do not provide pick up or delivery of these items. Please call the office, 419-903-0475 to make arrangements. We will put your name on a list of BEDS AVAILABLE TO DONATE, so that when we get a call of a need for a hospital bed, we can make the referral. We do not assist in moving the beds or lift chairs.
What is your policy on borrowing DME?
Anyone in need of DME may come in and choose the item they wish to borrow for as long as they are in need of it. The only thing we ask is to sign a liability waiver form, and to return the item when it is no longer needed.
Are there other medical supplies at the health center?
Yes; we have a small assortment of dietary, hygiene, and diabetic products on our Free Shelf. These include food thickeners, disposable oral swabs, feminine products, and blood glucose test strips. We also provide non-stick bandages, ace bandage/wraps, gloves, diabetic syringes, Depends, bed pads, and unopened over-the-counter medications. These are considered one-time use items.
